About

Danvers falconfest

Celebrate Our Community.
Create Traditions Together.

Danvers FalconFest is a volunteer-run, nonprofit organization. Danvers FalconFest is dedicated to bringing back beloved, annual Town events such as our Downtown Rewind and the Fireworks, as well as encouraging new ideas and traditions.

As an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit funded entirely by generous donations from Danvers residents, businesses and community partners, our goal is to raise at least $65,000 each year. We are so grateful to all those who have supported Danvers FalconFest thus far. Your collective generosity enables us to host these fun and family-friendly events.

Danvers FalconFest welcomes new volunteers who want to get more involved in the local Danvers community. To get started please visit our VOLUNTEER page.

LEAD VOLUNTEERS

Accessibility Coordinator

Jenn Corsino

I was born and raised in Danvers and wanting to raise my son in the town I grew up in with the same sense of community I had growing up. I became involved in the Danvers Falcon Fest because I can recall all the Danvers Family Festival experiences I had growing up and wanted the same for my son. My passion is having each event offering inclusivity and accessibility for all.

Event Activities Lead

Sarah Gagnon

We moved to Danvers 12 years ago, excited to be part of a small town community similar to where I grew up with lots to offer and access to so many different places to adventure. Our first years were spent enjoying so many of the town’s family festival activities before our kids joined us, so when the need arose for more community involvement to bring back some of those activities as well as new ones, I was excited for an opportunity to participate and create lasting memories for those new and old to town. With an event planning background, I was eager to revisit my passion and contribute to the community we proudly call home.

Social Media Coordinator

Lindsey Gent

Lindsey grew up in Danvers and moved back in 2020. Upon her return, she was searching for similar family-friendly events from the past that she had fun memories of enjoying. Once she came across Falconfest she knew she wanted to help! Using expertise from her marketing and advertising background she is now helping with social media!

Event Entertainment Lead

Lisa Cole

I have been a Danvers resident for 40 years. I became a Falconfest volunteer because I’m passionate about helping create experiences that bring people together and make memorable moments for the entire community.

Pyrotechnic Entertainment Coordinator

Mike Trainor

When my wife and I were looking for a community to put down our roots, Danvers appealed to us by having the convenience of a city with the charm of a small town. Over the past 15 years, we have raised our children here, sending them to Danvers schools and participating in many Danvers activities and sports. I engrained myself into the community and appreciated everything Danvers offered.

The more I became involved, the more I wanted to help. Like many others, I missed the traditional town fireworks and celebrations that unfortunately had melted away after COVID. I wanted my children to experience these same traditions that I had begun to enjoy when I first moved here. Events such as the Oldies Night (now Downtown Rewind) and most importantly, the Town Fireworks, were important to me and my family. I am grateful to have had such amazing support from my neighbors in Danvers which has allowed me to introduce my children to these events and make new memories in town.

Lead Volunteer Extraordinaire

Amy West

Since moving to Danvers in 2016 I have wanted to be part of the community and saw an opportunity from the very first DFF meeting to do so.  It has become so much more than getting the nostalgic fireworks from my childhood back.   This amazing group of people have really stepped it up and already Danvers is beaming with excitement over all the fun DFF brings. I am honored to be a part of DFF and hope to be for many years to come!

Community Fundraising Lead

Joni Pesola

I moved to Danvers in 1978 to start a family.  We enjoyed all the events offered during Family Festival so I was drawn to the FalconFest project because I longed for the “olden days” of Fireworks in Danvers.  I missed the town’s coming together to celebrate our town and seeing families engaging in fun activities.
